West Blocton Woman Charged with Attempted Murder in Domestic Violence Case

Just after 11:30 pm on September 13, deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident in the 5300 block of Mud Creek Road in Adger. It was reported that the accident involved a car and a van.

Once on scene deputies determined that the crash was no accident. The van was driven by a 53 year old man and a 55 year old woman was riding with him. The victims reported that the 32 year old wife of the man had intentionally rammed them several times causing the van to crash and roll over.

The passenger in the van reported that the suspect is also her daughter. The three of them had been in an ongoing argument and she believed her daughter was becoming dangerous.

32 year old Lacey Green McBrayer of West Blocton woman was taken into custody pending formal charges.

On September 15, detectives obtained warrants formally charging Lacey McBrayer with two counts of attempted murder. She remains in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $40,000.
