On Monday July 3, 2023, at 8:56pm Jefferson County deputies responded to a call for help at a home in the 100 block of 60th Street Fairfield. Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. After checking the victim, paramedics pronounced him deceased. There was no forced entry into the home. Sheriff’s detectives are reviewing neighborhood video and available evidence.
