Narcotics and Weapons Seizure

On Monday, June 23,2025, after receiving numerous citizen complaints regarding firearm offenses and narcotics activity, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and the Sheriff’s Safe Neighborhood Enforcement Team (SNET) executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Forest St., Tarrant, Alabama.  Arrests and seizures were made.

Suspect #1 has been identified as: Debreon Raheem Jones, age, 32.  Jones has been charged with Drug Trafficking with a $150,00.00 bond; Possession of Marijuana 1st and 2nd Degree with a $15,000,00 bond each; and 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $500.00 bond each. Total bond: $181,000.00.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

Suspect #2 has been identified as: Dana Maurice Jones, age, 34.  Jones has been charged with Tampering with Evidence with a $6,000.00 bond; Resisting Arrest with a $3,000.00 bond; Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $10,000.00; Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree with a $15,000.00 bond; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $6,000.00 bond.  The suspect has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.

Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “We love bridging the gap between law enforcement and our communities.  Without our citizens help in solving crimes, we would not be as effective in crime fighting.  My number #1 priority is to keep the citizens of Jefferson County safe.”

Narcotics seized: 96g of Marijuana; and 30g of Oxycodone

Weapons seized: Smith & Wesson .357; and a Springfield XDM 9mm

Money seized: $8,350,00

Additional items seized: Digital scales; narcotic packaging material
