On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives were participating in Operation Guardian Sweep in the Division of Jefferson County. While detectives were in the area to investigate a report of a drug house complaint, they observed a white Mercedes at the intersection of Highway 269 and McDonalds Chapel Road that failed to signal a lane change. Detectives conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. The traffic stop resulted in arrests and the seizure of narcotics and also aided detectives with information to obtain a search warrant for a home located in the 3300 block of Bond Avenue. The search warrant of the home resulted in the here money and a weapon were seized.

Fitzgibbons, Special Agent in Charge of the Birmingham Division.
Suspect #1 has been identified as: Robert Clark, Jr., age, 26. Clark has been charged with 2 counts of Drug Trafficking with a bond of $1,500,000.00 each; and Fail to Signal Lane Change with a bond of $300.00. Total bond: $3,000,000,300.00. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #2 has been identified as: Anthony Walker, age, 22. Walker has been charged with 2 counts of Drug Trafficking; and Rape 2nd Degree. The suspect is the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
Narcotics seized: 59 grams of Fentanyl; and 142 grams of Methamphetamine
Money seized: $21,612.00
Weapon seized: Glock Model 19 9mm handgun
Additional items seized: pistol magazines; and narcotic packaging material
