Teen Charged with Robbery

A 17-year-old teen has been charged with an August 18th robbery.

At about 4:30 pm on August 18, 2017, deputies were called to the 2300 block of 4th Street NW to investigate a report of a robbery.

The 23-year-old male victim reported that he had been doing door to door sales in the area of 7thStreet NE. As he sat in his car to eat and to complete paperwork, a black male suspect came up to the window and pointed a handgun at him. The suspect demanded his phone, tablet and car keys. The victim complied and the suspect attempted to drive away in the car. The suspect was unable to operate a car with a manual transmission. He left the tablet and the keys in the car and fled on foot.

The victim was able to track his mobile phone and provide deputies with the location. Deputies located the suspect at an apartment on Tamera Trail and took him into custody. He was questioned by detectives and admitted his role in the robbery.

On August 19, 2017, detectives obtained a warrant formally charging 17-year-old Quinderris Brown as an adult with Robbery 1stDegree.
