Just before 6:00 AM this morning, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 7200 block of Taylors Ferry Road in Concord, in reference to a residential house fire. During the investigation, it was determined that an adult male had perished in the fire. The Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will confirm the identity of the victim. No criminal activity is suspected in conjunction with the fire.
