An arrest has been made in the shooting death of 27-year-old Deandre Lamar Hayes. The shooting occurred on November 3, 2023, at 600 block of Jerry D Coleman Rd in Fairfield. 51-year-old Michael Lee Cole was arrested for the charge of murder and booked into the Bessemer County Jail on November 7, 2023. He is being held without bond. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
