 Evidence collected by technicians often provides critical information necessary for successful criminal prosecutions. Technicians are trained specialists whose responsibilities include recovering any possible trace of evidence at crime scenes. In order to do so officials utilize many skills like photographic techniques and fingerprint retrieval techniques.

The Evidence Unit is equipped with a Mobile Crime Lab that makes evidence processing equipment available at the scene of crimes.
