McDonald’s Chapel Traffic Stop Yields Drug Trafficking Charges

On August 22, 2018, Jefferson County Deputies made a traffic stop in the MacDonald’s Chapel community. The vehicle was occupied by 50 year old Larry Lee Wilson and 55 year old Dara Lynn Wilson.

Inside the vehicle, Deputies recovered Hydrocodone, crack cocaine, a handgun and cash. The recovery was consistent with possible distribution.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics detectives were contacted. They obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence in the 800 block of Quebec Street. That search turned up additional amounts Oxycodone, Cocaine, Ecstacy and marijuana.  The drugs were located in a vehicle in the back yard of the residence.  The vehicle was being guarded by 3 pit bulls.

The Wilson’s were each charged with Trafficking Dangerous Drugs and Possession with the Intent to Distribute. Each subject has a $115,000 bond.
