Today, after an extensive investigation, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of 59-year-old, Phillip Edward Lankford. Lankford was discovered shot to death near a stairwell in an apartment complex on Shadowood Circle NE in Centerpoint. Detectives arrested 21-year-old Jacobye Bryan Green for the charge of murder. Green is being held in the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham with no bond.
