The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has entered into an agreement with Axon for a field test and evaluation program of the latest technology in body-worn cameras.

The program will begin in early 2018 once the equipment has been delivered.

During the program, cameras will be deployed to 50 deputy sheriff personnel chosen from a variety of divisions within the Sheriff’s Office.

This no-cost trial will test equipment durability, ease of use, maintenance, data storage costs and overall effectiveness of this newest technology.
