In the past few days, Jefferson County Detectives have made multiple arrests of those involved in the trade of illegal narcotics.  April 28, 2020, was another one of those days.  Detectives observed 29 year-old, Aqureal Taylor conducting drug transactions from a vehicle in the 9000 Block of Parkway East in Birmingham.  Later, Detectives initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle.  Taylor, who was a passenger in the vehicle, exited the vehicle and took off running.  Detectives were able to capture Taylor and take him into custody.  A search of Taylor revealed almost 5 grams of Heroin.

Aqureal Taylor was arrested and has been charged with Trafficking Heroin.  He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with a $250,000 Bond.

Our Detectives take illegal drug activity seriously and will continue to fight against drugs in our community. If you have information about drug activity, please let us know.  It will take help from our citizens to continue this battle and win the war.
